Angles can be compared even if we don't know how big or small they are.

Warm-up:

Parallel Lines

Isosceles Triangles

The Problem:

Two parallel lines crossed by two transversals forming an isoceles triangle

Show that ∠FEG=∠CEG

-/|\-

Solution:

FEG is an isoceles triangle, so ∠FEG=∠FGE.
∠FGE and ∠CEG are equal as they are alternate angles.
Therefore ∠FEG=∠CEG.
